Episode 19: The Disappearance of Kathie Durst (Durst Part 1)

It probably seemed like a fairytale when 19 year old Kathleen McCormack met Robert Durst in New York in 1972. Kathie had grown up in a blue collar family. Robert, or Bobbie had grown up in one of the most wealthy and influential families in New York City.

It probably seemed like a fairytale when 19 year old Kathleen McCormack met Robert Durst in New York in 1972. Kathie had grown up in a blue collar family. Robert, or Bobbie had grown up in one of the most wealthy and influential families in New York City. Friends later said it was love at first sight.

Sadly the fairytale was not meant to be for Kathie and Bobbie Durst for behind Bobbies soft demeanor lurked another individual all together, a man who would commit the most heinous crimes and for years, decades even, get away with them.

Kathie McCormack Durst would not witness the unraveling of Bobbie Durst. For on rainy January evening in 1982 she disappeared forever.
