Episode 54: The Murders of Tammy, Leslie and Kristen

The horrors began in Scarborough, Ontario in Canada in 1987 with the rape of a young woman who was attacked in front of her parents’ home. They would continue for years until the monster targeting young women moved to a new location and elevated his crimes from sexual assaults to murder. Along the way, he’d gain a wife who’d not only be complicit in his crimes, she’d become a willing participant. By the time their crimes were known, Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka had murdered three teenage girls and violated multiple others. Paul and Karla did not look like the evil the public had been envisioning. They were young, blond, attractive- apparently successful, but their unspeakable acts would reveal them as monsters in disguise.
